David picked the backpackers up from Chelan yesterday afternoon and brought them back over here. They were a little mosquito bitten and definitely tired but I think they all thought it was a worthwhile adventure. The boat you see in the pictures is the ferry that runs down Lake Chelan which is I think the deepest….or is that the longest???? in North America. I’m sure they all slept REALLY well back in their own beds before they had to get up way too early to go to work this morning! David already got called out on a trip that leaves tomorrow so the timing worked out really well ; )
We are getting down to the wire now with our new place. The builder is leaving the country for 2 weeks at the end of this month so he’s really hoping he can get the certificate of occupancy in time so that we can close and get in there before he goes. David has the last few days of August and the first 3 of September off so hopefully it will all work. We’re getting excited to be in there and are thinking this MAY be the last trip that David comes home to the apartment from – very weird!!

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
