Lucked out with our weather today and one of the things we did was to wander through part of this nearby park this afternoon enjoying trilliums like this one as well as trees apparently painted in honor of Taryn, currently a Florida Gator ; )Speaking of Taryn…..she is currently en route to the motherland again but it was a strange trip. Originally the plan was to fly from Gainesville to Atlanta, Atlanta to New York and then New York to London…BUT…..no seats on the first plane so she missed her first New York flight, made it to Atlanta JUST in time for the next one BUT luckily David realised the first London flight had just cancelled so he reached Taryn after she’d been given her seat assignment on the New York flight and said DON”T GO!!! There was a flight to London from Atlanta but it looked pretty full and was boarding at that very minute – run Taryn, run!! She made it to the gate, there was a seat for her…the rest is history – and here’s a Sunday morning update, Taryn is in London enjoying their balmy first day of British Summer Time BUT the second London flight out of Atlanta cancelled last night too – BOY WAS SHE LUCKY!!!! ; )
Glad MY sunny Saturday was less stressful _ I exercised, watched a yacht race and a bald eagle and a Navy sub glide past my windows, and here is what got us to Schmitz Park in the first place….
