went to the preview of this exhibit this weekend……

For eyes and ears: ‘Telling Our Westside Stories’ opens at Log House Museum.

One of my new neighbors is involved with this great local museum so I got to take an early look at this new exhibit plus sip wine and champagne with lots of the people who were instrumental in setting it up. You know how I hate to do that, right? 😉

Now I’ve moved to ‘the other side’ of Seattle it’s time for me to get better acquainted with its history so I’m excited to have such a great resource just a short roll away – towards the beach too!

…….and my apologies for the random background change – for some reason my usual ‘Vostock’ theme from WordPress mysteriously disappeared today and every time I put it back in I get a ‘2010’ theme instead…so, this one for a while until my old one gets back online.( 5:00pm and my trusty Vostock theme is working again – could you tell?? LOL) In the meantime I did my roll along Alki Beach already this morning and now I’m waiting for the USS John C Stennis to sail past my windows on its way out of Puget Sound for an 8 month deployment in the Middle East. Leon Panetta was at Bremerton last week telling the crew “you’re the best we’ve got” because they only got back from a 7 month deployment in March!

4:35pm and there they go…..

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
