America’s favorite food truck, Marination Mobile has found a permanent home in Alki. Marination Ma Kai is the second fixed location for the Korean/Hawaiian food truck. The other bricks ‘n mortar outpost, Marination Station, is located on Capitol Hill. Marination won the concessionaire contract to operate at the city-owned Seacrest Boathouse late last year. After someinitial neighborhood controversy and extended permitting process, Marination began serving its full menu including hot breakfast sandwiches, boozy shave ice, and fish ‘n chips last week. Marination Ma Kai is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to “late” on weekends.
Marination Ma Kai is now serving its full menu, including hot breakfast, shave ice, and their own spin on fish ‘n chips. Also, the hours have changed slightly. The Alki outlet for Marination’s Hawaiian / Korean fusion food, another of Eater’s most anticipated openings of Fall 2012, is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to late on the weekends.
