Saturday stuff

So before I’d even thought about starting to watch the tennis today, Taryn already had her very first sprint length triathlon under her belt and had even managed to get onto the podium in the novice category πŸ˜‰ And in case you’re wondering (because I certainly was ) that is apparently a ‘balloonicorn’ that she’s holding!

With that kind of pressure I did manage to pull myself away from the US Open coverage for just a while to roll down to Alki Beach, not to swim, bike or run but to see the new seal sitters statue they just installed there.

and I was home in plenty of time to see tonight’s great Husky game against Boise state – Go Dawgs!

And yes, I should point out that in that last picture if you look closely you can see not only lots of people on the beach but the Cascade mountain range, the Space Needle, a couple of cruise ships, Mt Baker and some stand up paddle boarders ……… that’s summer in Seattle for you πŸ˜‰

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
