Saturday sunshine

IMG_1255this morning’s marine fog almost burnt off ๐Ÿ˜‰
It’s Saturday and the sun is out, the Huskies don’t play until tonight (but then it’s against Stanford – ouch!), so I have lots of time to dust, Roomba and mop floors and maybe even get an outside roll in before I put my feet up and watch that. However, in a little bit of downtime…….because you knew I’d still have plenty of that, right?…I noticed this link from our amazingly excellent West Seattle Blog –

West Seattleโ€™s newest chartered Little Free Library.

love this ๐Ÿ˜‰ and someone was just talking about the fact that they built one at my friend’s book club yesterday. Got rid of nearly all my books when we moved last time but somehow I still seem to have lots despite the fact that I read nearly everything on my iPad these days. Maybe I need to find someone with some carpentry skills so that we could put one of these up in our street……or better still, in one of our great waterfront parks just across the road. Wouldn’t everyone like a good book to read as they sat and looked at the water and mountains? ๐Ÿ˜‰

OK back to the Saturday clean up, although you know I felt a lot more virtuous about that before Chelsea called and told me she’d run a 5K to raise money for her school this morning before I’d actually finished getting dressed!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
