Saturday Lunch

Our local historical society was doing their big annual fundraising lunch today at Salty’s which is famous not only for their brunch but also the best view in Seattle 😉
Next year I think I’m going to go as a volunteer because there were so many people in the room that once I was at my table there was no hope of me moving anywhere…… the Silent Auction tables or the Raffle Ticket sellers or to talk to anyone else I knew who wasn’t already at our table. Couldn’t even check out the desserts before the infamous Dessert Dash! That made it a cheaper lunch than it could have been but next time I’d just as soon see what’s up for auction – it’s a lot more fun to bid on things than just make a donation.
I did have some of my wonderful neighbors get me and the wheelchair there in one piece…..we’d practiced a few days ago to make sure it would work in their vehicle 😉 and then Joke, another fabulous neighbor came and got me home again. Shockingly enough I’m having her back in just a little while for Happy Hour to say thank you. Unusual huh? 😉

And here’s the official coverage of the big event!

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
