what we missed….

these guys were literally just up the road from us at sunset last night and I was really hoping they’d get close enough before the light went for the girls baking gingerbread cookies in my kitchen to see them. No dice unfortunately, but at least this great video is out there. So, Mallory and Emma – this is what you missed!
However I lucked out because I ended up with a house that smelled fabulous and a plate of gems like these 😉 IMG_0046 Plus I got to spend all afternoon yakking with my good buddy Laurie while she baked. Theoretically I was supposed to be baking too but somehow I just never quite got to that – what a surprise!
Today I am hoping that my workmen turn up again since they didn’t yesterday. Of course it is still in the 20s outside so they’re probably in no rush. I’ll be rolling to the Log House Museum later on so I think I’ll be needing my ‘lobster claw’ gloves for that, just not sure if they have any grip on them to get me up steep ramps in this cold……..in fact I’m not even sure I know where they are at this point so maybe I’d better go and have a hunting party in the depths of my closet!
Wish me luck 😉

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
