more good things I’d forgotten about ;)

Went off to the Log House Museum a little earlier than usual today because their new exhibit – Telling Our Westside Stories:Work opens on Saturday so everyone is crazily trying to get everything finished and ready in time. Nancy and I were just doing the Gift Store section but that still kept us busy until almost 5pm. Not that it was all drudgery and hard work by any means, look how excited Sarah was to see what was inside an antique trunk that hadn’t been opened in a while IMG_0642 and no, it wasn’t money despite her expression! 😉
Here are some of the exhibits coming together IMG_0646 and here’s Nancy surveying all her handiwork at the end of the day IMG_0662
It was right after this that she had the brilliant idea for us to go out for dinner and a drink instead of going home and somehow we managed to persuade the rest of the crew to take a break and come too. Here’s Kerry trying to decide if that shrimp salad really is going to be big enough for her after all 😉 IMG_0663
And after all that hard work and hilarity I didn’t roll home until almost 7:30pm and it was still light and warm and dry! Ah the forgotten joys of the impending Spring and Daylight Savings Time!

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
