St George’s Day

In light of the fact that it happens to be St George’s Day (or at least it will be in about 45 minutes)it seems like a good time to post the last of my English shots –

We had stopped in Duxford on our way to Stansted airport so that the very pregnant lady could walk around a bit and stretch before she had to squeeze onto her flight to Denmark and the friends we were meeting up with were already there so we all got to take a stroll around the village together. Once the kids were safely dropped off we were back at the John Barleycorn enjoying their fabulous food and drink and our good friends great company. Nice way to finish up our English visit πŸ˜‰

These pictures show off some of the great food we had – that tomato risotto was amazing , but I have no idea what we were talking about because I’m sure that I’ve never said anything that made people look that serious in my entire life πŸ˜‰
We did manage a very quick drive through Cambridge before we headed back to Heathrow and got this drive-by shot of the rail station where we first got together 32 years and 21 days ago……… not that we’re counting or anything!

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
