Yay, the sun is back and doesn’t our enkianthus look good with all it’s blooms this year? This is the only plant we kept from our last house – every time we’ve moved we’ve always taken something from one garden to the next. It had a tendency to be lilac bushes which I love but last time this beautiful spring bloomer won out. I do still miss my lilacs though!
I have no excuse for my lack of recent posts – have been doing nothing other than watching the rain fall ( 4 inches over last weekend – really??!) and catching up with my bike trainer workouts. You know I try to stick to only every other day to ward off unnecessary injuries and I said after yesterday’s workout that I wouldn’t do it again today……. right! It was plenty nice enough for me to go for a roll outside instead but did I?? Of course not – I’ll be busy for the next few days so I thought I’d just squeeze half the usual time in to keep my cardio up there. Hey, my chain even kept jumping gears at the 25 minute mark so I could have stopped then when David came and fixed it but no, I’m just a little bit addicted to that endorphin rush I get from pushing it. On a really good workout day I think it feels every bit as good as sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll used to in my youth. Not sure if that means I should have been wilder than I was……. oh wait, I remember (bits of) my youth – no, I was plenty wild, I must just be working out really hard 😉
