OK so this is what I spent my morning doing ;)

… to be specific I actually manned the Street Closed barricades wearing a fluorescent orange safety vest because I know from experience that people feel really guilty about almost running over women in wheelchairs so I was a natural for the job 😉 but check out this link from the West Seattle Blog for all the other details….

1st report: Log House Museum hosts hundreds to celebrate Admiral Way totem pole’s new home and public display.

It was a great event for West Seattle’s Log House Museum and the totem pole looks fabulous.
shroudedThis is what it looked like before the unveiling and I can tell you that the very talented volunteer who made this cover from an old parachute was very relieved when all the assembled dignitaries pulled on the cords and the cover dropped away perfectly – yay Kerry! 😉

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
