killing time….

…. we’ll be making our second trip of the day to the airport in less than an hour from now – we shared an early breakfast with Greg this morning after his overnight in town on his way home from fishing in Alaska IMG_2190 and believe it or not the sun has made a reappearance just in time for Taryn and Colton’s imminent landing at Sea-Tac πŸ˜‰
It’s been pretty cloudy since David’s Dad has been here but yesterday we managed to dodge the showers and get a walk around Green Lake in before lunch. Great park, as you can see from this link – http://www.seattle.gov/parks/park_detail.asp?ID=307 and Chelsea and Cora have been busy doing Stroller Strides there lately10300324_10154383605205316_5952090633936161086_n but having recently rolled around two lakes in Minneapolis that were 2.78 and 2.75 miles long, the fact that it’s 2.8 miles around Green Lake makes me wonder why that seems to be the magic length for so many lake walking trails…….fluke? planning? weirdly natural occurrence? Who knows and no time to sweat it – got to go and meet our baby off the plane! πŸ˜‰

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
