back in the swing…..

Having just got back into town on Monday I was just thinking today that things were almost back to normal but that I’d only managed to read the paper and do the puzzles, get my bike trainer workout in, cool down, eat lunch and then grab a shower by 3:30pm. Then of course it occurred to me…… that’s usually all I ever manage to do by that time in the afternoon! So, back to ‘normal’ I think 😉

I’m always excited to get home after a trip because everything is set up so that I can function with no help at all when I’m here and after a week away I am more than ready to get in and out of bed by myself, take a shower without help etc etc. Of course now it’s a competition to see who is more thrilled by this – me, who doesn’t have to have any help or David who is the one who doesn’t have to help me 😉 The trip was good though – a family wedding and both our girls were able to join us there so we all got the opportunity to touch base with lots of relatives we hadn’t seen for a long time and let’s face it – weddings are always fun! It also happened to be in Charleston where David went to college so it’s always fun for him to go back. The city is a nice one to visit and we had enough time there to see a couple of his college friends and go to a football game as well as enjoy all the wedding festivities.

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
