just one little hiccup..

One late little hiccup to our trip out of town last week was that we checked our bags ( a rare occurrence which will be even rarer in the future) and they managed to arrive in Seattle the day before we did. That meant that we spent our last night away from home without any niceties like clean clothes or make-up or hairbrushes. A little bit inconvenient but manageable. 🙂 The bags were there waiting for us when we finally landed at SeaTac on Monday so that was nice but we had come home with a Charleston goody bag that included Bloody Mary Mix and crackers. 3 guesses what broke in transit………..and then sat there for a day waiting for us to arrive!!!! Thankfully the bottle was in David’s suitcase so it was his clothes that were scarlet and smelly and it’s his suitcase that still REEKS!!  😉

I had told him I didn’t think he should bring the bottle home with him in case it broke so I chuckled just a tad when my prediction turned out to be correct. “Never mind, we can still have the crackers at happy hour” said I after throwing all his stuff in the washing machine…….. another 3 guesses what he DIDN’T bother to bring back with him!

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
