Memorable days….

as opposed to Memorial Day, which it was of course. Since that’s a day off work for most people Chelsea, Rich and Cora came over to eat with us and we grilled out despite the sunshine’s conspicuous absence. I managed to shock myself with my apparent efficiency by squeezing in my 2 hr standing frame time, a bike trainer workout, a shower, a visit to the store and still get all the non-burger food ready for dinnertime. I really need to quit being this constructive – people will begin to expect it of me – ack!!
Spending time with Cora is always memorable because she changes so much between visits at this stage in her life. Today though it was Rich who got up to start heading home and glancing out the window said “Are those whales?” They were indeed – what looked like a whole pod of them heading south and so close to our side of the shore that you certainly didn’t need a telescope to watch them swim by šŸ™‚
The other pretty memorable occurrence is caught in this picture when David realizes that when he thought about naked women at his feet he probably never realized that he’d have to wait until he was nearly 60 or that they’d be his granddaughter, but you know…… I think he’s fine with that! šŸ™‚

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
