I could have stayed in sunny Florida a bit longer!

So we made it home on Monday afternoon (yes, just in time for my usual neighborhood happy hour…. so no, I didn’t get all the unpacking and washing done) 😉

You can tell from the sunset picture that it was a tad more wintry here than in Florida and just look at the difference between our bulbs last year and this year – on the same day! Last picture is of the pots of bulbs again today in the nonstop rain – boo hiss 😦

I did get the chance to get outside yesterday morning before the rain came and before I had to give back my demo version of Max Mobility’s Smart Drive Mk.2 power assist though. It was great to be able to try it out over my long weekend away travelling. No problem at all going through airports with it – kept it on until I transferred into an aisle chair at the plane door and just put it in an overhead bin until I got to where I was going. So nice not to need any help going up the jetway when I got off the flights 🙂

Since we were down there to celebrate Taryn & Colton’s engagement you’d think that I’d have pictures but David pretty much took lots of their cake and only a couple of long distance ones of the happy couple and he forgot to share them with me before he headed off to Hong Kong anyway. Good job Colton’s family did a better job so here… I’m stealing these from Facebook, thank you to his mom, Julie and his aunt, Allison for taking these 😉

and yes, there will be official ones eventually but for now I’m off to have a drink to warm me up before dinner…… and no, I wasn’t thinking of cocoa 😉

About girlonahandcycle

Natural Brit/Naturalized American wife, mom, grandma and all around old broad still happily ignoring my MS (since 1985 - ha!). Every time it slows me down I find a way to speed back up which explains my very cool Tilite wheelchair and Top End handcycle ..........also my ripped arms ; ) Don't get back to the homeland or to other cool places quite as easily or often as I'd like anymore so theoretically my rambling here keeps me a little more connected to far away friends and family.
